Is this the most beautiful Icon Theme for Ubuntu 18.04 LTS?
Well, that depends. I mean, looks are subjective. But as far I’m concerned, Papirus Icon theme is one of the most comprehensive and sophisticated Icon themes I’ve installed on my Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.
Based on Paper Icon Theme set, Papirus is a free and open source icon theme for Linux with support for over a 1000 icons. If you are on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, installation is a breeze, thanks to the dedicated Papirus theme repository (PPA).
How to Install Papirus Icon Theme in Ubuntu 18.04 LTS?
Just copy-paste these 3 commands into your Terminal (keyboard shortcut: CTRL+ALT+T) in the following order:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:papirus/papirus
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install papirus-icon-theme
Give your admin password when asked. And that’s it. Papirus icon theme is installed and ready to be deployed.
One small catch though. If you are on Ubuntu 18.04, you might need to install Gnome Tweaks to enable the icon theme (any theme or extension in fact). Go to Ubuntu Software Center and search for “Gnome Tweaks”. Then launch the app and change the “Icons” to Papirus from the Appearance tab.
